Atopic biomarker changes after exposure to Porphyromonas gingivalis lipopolysaccharide: a small experimental study in Wistar rats

چکیده
Background: IgE and IgG4 are implicated in atopic development clinically utilized as major biomarkers. Atopic responses following certain pathogens, such Porphyromonas gingivalis (Pg), are currently an area of interest for further research. The aim this study is to measure the level IgE, IgG4, IgG4/IgE ratio periodically after exposure periodontal pathogen Pg lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Methods: We used 16 Wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus) randomly subdivided into four groups: Group 1, injected with placebo; 2, LPS 0.3 µg/mL; 3, 1 4, 3 µg/mL. Sera from all groups were taken retro-orbital plexus before exposure. Results: Levels increased significantly at day-4 day-11. Greater increase rather than contributed rapid decline ratio, detected peripheral blood day-11. Conclusion: Modulation reflected by a decrease that accompanies IgE. Therefore, Pg, keystone during disease, may have tendency disrupt biomarkers.

Dysfunctional innate immune responsiveness to Porphyromonas gingivalis lipopolysaccharide in diabetes.
INTRODUCTION Type 1 diabetes is a major risk factor for the development of severe periodontal disease. As diabetes increases in severity, so does the susceptibility to and severity of periodontitis. People with diabetes who have periodontal disease have a harder time maintaining healthy blood glucose levels. Macrophages play an important role in both diabetes and periodontitis. Previous researc...

We previously described a cell surface anionic polysaccharide (APS) in Porphyromonas gingivalis that is required for cell integrity and serum resistance. APS is a phosphorylated branched mannan that shares a common epitope with posttranslational additions to some of the Arg-gingipains. This study aimed to determine the mechanism of anchoring of APS to the surface of P. gingivalis. APS was purif...

Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is a highly bioactive substance that can cause local as well as systemic damage to various organs of both humans and animals, even at very low doses. However, there are a few reports on drug pharmacokinetics during endotoxemia. In this study, we analyzed the pharmacokinetics of digoxin (a therapeutic agent for cardiac insufficiency) as a probe drug for a two-compartment...

The lipopolysaccharide (LPS) released by Porphyromonas gingivalis, a Gram-negative bacterium found in the periodontal pockets of patients with periodontitis, induces bone resorbing activity in vivo. We previously showed that a receptor for LPS on human gingival fibroblasts and gingival epithelial cells is CD14. In this study, we established a mouse model of experimental periodontitis by applyin...
متن کاملStudy of Porphyromonas gingivalis in periodontal diseases: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Background: The mouth cavity hosts various types of anaerobic bacteria including Porphyromonas gingivalis, which causes periodontal inflammatory diseases. P. gingivalis is a gram-negative oral anaerobe and is considered as a main etiological factor in periodontal diseases. Several studies have reported a relationship between P. gingivalis in individuals with periodontal diseases and a critical ...
